culturally speaking regloss is much more reminiscent of nijisanji, and this is intentional. it's honestly a really smart move, when nijisanji fans jump ship their likelihood of coming towards cover is higher if they have a branch that's niji-esque.
if enough promising nijitalent quits, cover can (wait for their non-comp clause to end, then) debut them under dev_is as a new gen. assuming anycolor keeps mishandling nijisanji, eventually, regloss will consolidate the ex-niji fans/talent and outperform hololive. if it somehow doesn't come to this, it's okay because they didn't invest much into regloss, and they're stable enough that they can support themselves standalone.
it's genius.
