Seems to me that the point of donating is to try and get noticed by your Oshi.I've donated almost 1k USD so far but it's to Charzu so I don't expect to get treated any differently. I kind of prefer it that way because I don't like being an attention hog; I went to school with people like that and I hated them. A genuine thank you is enough for me which she does. I like her content and her personality, I have some disposable income, and I get sad she doesn't seem to be compensated for what she does at least a little, so those are my motivations.
