>>79445115Lethal Company was made as a multiplayer game for the dev and his friends to fuck around in using mechanics the dev polished in previous games he made. The monsters and premise are basic but combine to form a fun little romp that isn't supposed to be taken that seriously (since again, it was just a small game the dev made for himself and his friends). As such there's a very clear end-goal even if it becomes impossible.
Content Warning is unironically taking the moments Lethal Company naturally generated with its monsters and turning those moments into intentional gameplay. Instead of the fun interactions you'd get as a side thing while doing your main objective, it takes that side thing and forces you to try and make funny moments with it. This causes the objective to be unclear and unfun to play, both because those funny moments stop being funny when you need to force it and because outside of those forced interactions, there isn't any more gameplay.
Lethal Company is a game made for friends while Content Warning is a game made to cash in on Lethal Company's popularity among streamers.
