They're playing *themselves* instead of a character.
This is a big part of why the older GWA stuff is better than newer scripted stuff IMO.I'd still look at some more unscripted stuff, but it's going to be older (and therefore lower audio quality).
I can't speak for everyone in the medium but a few personalities I've been aware of over the years haven't played characters but just been "themselves" in a scenario with (you) the listener.

Try the archives of the English Audio Porn thread on /t/, or scrounge on the usual piracy sites. Ironically, pirates are better at data preservation than legitimate sources anymore when it comes to niche porn.
