>>42050They always have been intermingled. People talk about reddit like it was always this shitty site, but it used to be great pre 2012, and it was useable up until 2014. I would say most people on this site around 2010 used reddit in some capacity because generals weren't really allowed. If you wanted to have a place to continually post daily about a certain game or show then you used reddit. Its really a shame how shitty of a site its become. I can still remember stuff like r/coontown.
