I think picrel is worth more than 1000 words.
It perfectly explains the problem.
To wit:
> Anon watches shy girl behind an anime avatar, because he can't talk to one in real life, for whatever reason.
> Anon buys her $100s in gifts because it makes the girl happy and all blushing and cute.
> Anon is happy, or at least less sad than before, because he has someone who will talk to him for hours every day and accept his gifts and thank him.
> Notice this is NOT about sex, otherwise Anon would find a hooker. This is about a (kind of) relationship and emotional support.
Enter male collabs.
Suddenly the girl's streams (and days and thoughts and dreams...) are filled with her chad coworkers, who were selected among hundreds of applicants, therefore are guaranteed to be overall better men than Anon. At this point, if there's anybody she will blush for, it's them (see picrel.) Anon has become a nuisance, a work obligation.
I'm personally not a unicorn nor a gachikoi, but how is this so hard to understand?
Let alone I cannot imagine Femanon is particularly happy that her chad vtuber, who could have been another Vox, instead always has a bunch of annoying brats yapping on and about his screen and his Twitter 24/7 and ruining the mood. Sorry Femanon, we would gladly tardwrangle and contain the brats (we unironically like dumb brats) but apparently they won't let us do that anymore.
I think they are collectively shooting themselves in the foot, but what do I know.
