Procedure was to hold the turkey in one hand over a trashcan and cut the plastic on the bottom so that all the juice would drain into the trashcan for no clean up. It was my first time and I cut too much so instead of just draining, the entire turkey came out and fell into the trash which we had been filling up all day. I turned to my manager to apologize for fucking up but he said it was fine. He then took the turkey out of the trash and ran it under the equipment sink for a few seconds before putting it on the slicer.
Another time early on, I was on duty when we ran out of the pre-cut low sodium ham so I had to go back in the freezer to get a new one to cut up. After searching the whole freezer I couldn't find a single one so I had to tell the manager that he had to order more. He told me that couldn't be true and he came back in the freezer with me where he picked up one of the normal hams and handed it to me. I told him no, that we needed the low sodium, and he told me "there is no low sodium, I haven't stocked low sodium ham in 20 years." and then sliced up a stack of the normal ham and put it in the low sodium spot.
