Why can't they just come clean and say that male collabs make their gachikoi jealous and they won't do them because of that? Why dance around and pretend it's about "shipping" and not seeing your oshi on screen laughing at another mans jokes and enjoying his company? There's nothing to be ashamed about by just saying you don't want to do content that your most dedicated fans dislike. It would clear up a lot of misconceptions, especially among the more normalfag of the EN audience who just don't get it and think vtubing is just like fleshstreaming rather than being live anime performances.
