With that said I agree with you on this point, and that’s part of why VShojo failed so spectacularly.
They spent a LOT of money trying to “fake until you make it”, purchasing fluff pieces and trying to muscle into a market they didn’t understand the least by throwing money at it.
The amount of pieces like pic rel they got from all sorts of publications including notorious “pay to play” ones must have depleted their war chest.
