At the same time I just do it because I love my oshi too much and want the loneliness to go away and I treat it as if it was really her. It's similar to a tulpa but with a real person, and less dangerous since you don't need to do drugs or deprive your body of food and water for it to work. The only bad thing is realisation that it is not nearly the same, and it's the best you can realistically have.
