You guys give JP management way too much credit. The EN staff aren't denying custom merch to be malicious, it's because they don't receive any resources to produce their own merch. All the merch that EN receives is thrust upon them by the JP side for the most part. The EN livers and staff had to fight for the NA warehouse because JP didn't realize how outrageous shipping from Japan is, and they completely half-assed it by only offering the first step goods. The moment Petra traveled to Japan to have meetings with JP staff and Tazumi-san they suddenly announced a hoodie merch for her. It's not really a coincidence that the JP management is just completely clueless or doesn't care about EN unless it's about Luxiem. On that point the livers have even discussed how hard the staff of EN fights to support them and get them sponsorships or con appearances, things that don't cost money to produce. Yet from our perspective the company only ever promotes Luxiem when it comes to offering products or events, because Luxiem are popular in JP and the numberfags in Japan only care about what generates profit and not growing an audience in the west.
Everyone is so quick to blame the EN management when the way EN is treated is much more like neglect and reeks of corporate bureaucracy from the JP side. If EN management were capable of producing custom merch of the girls or selling merch locally in North America they'd have no reason to decline, it's literally free money from their perspective.
