CK is basically a hybrid RPG and strategy game where court intrigue is as important as army composition or territory management. Its pretty much designed to make you feel what its like to be a noble in a feudal society. Mata is just doing a run where she's playing a challenge preset character but she's not going crazy with min-maxing.
