I don't know how radical the redesign will be (I've heard varying things) but the current design looks really good to me. But I do see issues with some of the details which could be improved. I just hope at the end of it, I like the design and she's happy with it AND they're able to build on it with new outfits.
I feel like the original idea with IRyS' design was that there would be times the good/evil sides took over. It just never went anywhere.
