Cats have really good eyesight in the dark. When I'm jogging in the dark at night like some kind of vengeful wraith on the prowl for unsuspecting ch*ds, sometimes I'll hear meowing off in the distance and as I get closer over a couple of minutes I'll see my cat, who saw me from a lot further away than I saw him. Strangely I was told cats are bad at remembering human faces, so I don't know how he recognizes me.
