If you have one talent constantly reaching 2-3x the CCV of the others then algorithm tourists and potential new fans will obviously flock to the popular one. No one wants to risk missing out on the hot menu item and thus it creates an almost stagnant plateau of the other talents' growth.
However if everyone sits at reasonably the same level of popularity then there's more opportunity for an equal growth rate.
Tourists that go to the Big One and find no interest will often write off the others completely. This is because from their point of view the other members are not as good because they don't have as many viewers.
If everyone is on equal footing there's more potential for tourists to check out a 2nd or 3rd talent.
