cutting toast soldiers for dipping is unnecessary fussiness, eggs arent that big or deep so you cant dip them much and the ratio of yolk to toast you get is soo off balance. you might find egg cups on the east coast in some upper class settings i guess? but theyre just not at all common throughout the US
