>>70622772 Mary? I know how you feel. Before HoloX was announced I had just finished a model I'd been working on for months that looked a lot like Laplus and so I ended up scrapping it... Looking back, I could've tweaked the design and accentuated the parts that made it different than Laplus instead of scrapping it.
If you feel the design really resonates with you, I'd say don't worry too much about it given Mumei looks like every middle school girl who did site modeling in the late 2000s - early 2010s. It isn't exactly unique, but captures an era and you shouldn't worry about her "owning" an era.
If you're really that concerned, focus on the similarities and differences and see what can be changed and what can be accentuated.See what similarities can be phased out and what those design elements can be replaced with while retaining the design theme.
In the end, as long as you don't look exactly like Mumei, people who point and scream "that's Hololive's design!!!" are either children or just trying to get a rise out of you.
