I love hollow knight and I did absolutely everything in it excluding getting the mask in the land of storms but it's a metroidvania at the end of the day. They're built to be obtuse and usually somewhat difficult. It's like the exact opposite kind of game from what bao usually likes (linear, story driven, emotionally charged, doesn't make her struggle too much)
