Warhammer anon here, wanted to try my hand at writing a bit. I felt inspired by the other bros
>The sound of a distant explosion jolts you awake
>Dizzy and confused you try to stand and survey your surroundings
>The damage to your body is extensive but manageable
>Corpses cover the floor like a cheap carpet
>Its hard to make things out clearly due to damaged optical receptors
>The picture gradually becomes clear
>Guardsmen, demons and your fallen AdMech brothers everywhere
>You begin to recall what led to this moment
>Archmagos Gosling gave your squad a mission of the highest priority
>Recover a sacred artifact that he believes belonged to the Kroniissiah herself
>Things were going well you thought, with the help of the local guardsmen regiment you tracked the items location in no time at all
>Little did you or your brothers know that this was all a trap laid by worshippers of the chaos god Haachama
>The cultists had begun their demon summoning rituals well before you even touched down on the planet
>The trap was sprung so fast you were all caught off guard despite hundreds of years of combat experience
>As the only survivor of the ambush you begin to give thanks to the Kroniissiah
>Your prayers are interrupted by a disgusting fleshy noise outside the room
>Demons, hundreds of the bastards judging by the volume of their screeching, and they know you are there
>Without hesitation you look around and grab the nearest working weapon
>You let out a very disappointed sigh, its a lasgun
>Thrilled at the idea of having to hold out with a glorified flashlight you prepare for combat
>After offering one last prayer to the Kroniissiah you raise the lasgun towards the door just as demons start rushing in
>Your resolve is unmatched and your aim is steady, one by one the demons drop
>Things start to look grim once the lasgun runs dry
>Then suddenly an incredibly loud thud from outside grabs the attention of all the demons
>They freeze in place no longer interested in you
>The room is dead silent with only that thud breaking said silence
>The noise repeats in a steady rhythm, growing closer with each beat
>You recognize the noise now and let out a chuckle
>This time the silence is not broken by the thud but a primordial war cry
>"SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEX"
>Before they can even react half the demons before you are turned into a fine red mist
>The legendary Dreadnought Takeshi has arrived to aid in your struggle
>Takeshi lets out another war cry, "Even in death I am still SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEX"
>The last of the demons are quickly eliminated with his massive amount of firepower
>As the Dreadnought heads off to its next battle the war cry of "SEEEEEEEEEEEEX" echoes in the air
>Now it is time to resume your mission, the holy artifact must be reclaimed
>With a brief search the lower levels you finally come across it
>A golden hourglass that shines brighter than anything you've ever seen before
>With the artifact in hand you link up with your brothers and leave the planet
>After delivering the artifact and making your report to the Archmagos you retire to your personal quarters for some well deserved rest and maintenance
>Later that night you are blessed by a vision of the Kroniissiah
>While you stare at her in awe she begins to address you
>"Your faith and determination have been tested this day and you passed with flying colors. Rest well my weary warrior"
Glory to the Kroniissiah
