>>72322401They usually can't. There's a difference between an animation studio working on project together, and an artist trying to replicate the style of someone they've never met. One example I remember is Olivia Monroe, who had a very particular art and rigging style in her previous model that she tried to recapture in the new one after the previous artist vanished, but it couldn't be done.
Easier to just remake it, and often vtubers enjoy revisiting the design process to reinvent their designs anyway.
