Did you guys know that Akechi only survives the engine room if you get his full confidant rank and let him learn Endure (a chance to survive a fatal shot with 1 HP), which he is the ONLY one in the party to learn last, since everyone else learns Endure before Protect (shield Joker from a fatal attack), but only Akechi learns Protect before Endure, meaning he will save Akira before saving himself, which he ultimately ends up doing in the engine room. And if you don't get his confidant up high enough to unlock this, you won't get the cutscene at the very end where he is alive. Fascinating, right? I will understand everything for Elira.
