A Japanese Cosplayer has been falsely accused and harassed by fans of
popular Youtube Streamer, IShowSpeed, receiving death threats and vandalization on her social media accounts amongst many others.
The incident started when clips of an unidentified person, cosplaying Momoi from the Blue Archive franchise, made several racial remarks to the popular streamer when he is streaming in China went viral.
The clip has now been viewed with more than 20M+ views and thousands of QRTs condemning the cosplayer in the clip demanding her dox and immediate cancellation. In response to general criticism of chinese racial insensitivity on the clip, a Chinese poster falsely claimed that the cosplayer in question was actually japanese and attached her instagram and twitter account in response as proof.
The tweet was largely taken as fact by IShowSpeed's fans as they are largely incapable of differentiating faces of asian descent and immediately harasses and vandalizes her social media account as a response.
