I think most western vtubers still don't understand that their audiences know this is just a play but they still enjoying it, just like some kids have imaginary friends when they are small, and they know the imaginary friends are not real but just like their company.
With that speech, Fauna only left her viewers with 2 choices: cope with it, pretend that it is not an unmasking by saying either the talk is not about parasocial, a real talk like that means she appreciate them, or they can still watch her, knowing that it will never be the same after this.
