She had a traumatic childhood but her mom is a ditzy whore who had her aged 20 and likely mentally half that. Don't forget Shondo has said every part of her that she likes is stuff that came from her mama, like her big heart, her empathy and kindness. Those are all Shadowmama traits, and given how sweet and gracious she was when she was on stream I believe it. She was basically fangirling with how earnestly she expressed how proud of Shondo she was, and how she said Shondo is so grateful for even the smallest things, and that's her favorite thing about her. They're really cute and love each other.
Don't forget also Shadow was a diagnosed schizophrenic child, unmedicated for large periods of time, and was in her own words like living with a "demon". She said she used to smear blood on the walls, hit, bite, scream, break stuff, go into week-long meltdowns where she wouldn't eat or sleep and her family eventually would have to have her institutionalized, all while dealing with an abusive rapist pedo boyfriend who beat her and threw her down the stairs when she was pregnant. She's diagnosed with PTSD and is on a similar amount of medication to Shondo.
I will not tolerate Shadowmama abuse. Dumb? Yes. Made mistakes? Yes. But Shadow loves her, she loves Shadow, and they are important parts of the other's lives. They forgave each other.
