You know what a metroidvania is called in Japan? Search Action. Because you search for stuff that allows you to perform more actions, like a wing allowing you double jump, a bow allowing ranged attacks, etc.
Why can't western game dev just use something that is more readable? Why do they find it COOL making a guessing game when creating categories? What's even the point of making categories if they aren't easy to understand?
