You know people always complain that vtubers aren't really alone because they have friends and coworkers and such. But I think people misunderstand what loneliness is.
It's not the absence of others, its the shadow that our interactions with others cast upon our hearts. The absence of others may feel empty but it doesn't pour darkness over our hearts like true loneliness.
What feels worse is being around others, having those relationships but in spite of that knowing you're alone. The brightness of the relationships just sticking you deeper into the dark abyss, even though others are so close it just makes you more aware of how alone you are and how little they care for you.

Those in blissful ignorance with no relationships still have fantasies and hopes for the future, their souls are empty of the shades of true loneliness. It's only by being around others that you experience the true pain of isolation.
