>>51419867I think the issue with the speen isn’t the energy required to accelerate the rings to the required speed but maintaining the structure as the centrifugal force probably put a decent amount of stress to the rings. The joint area between the rings and the microgravity keel might also be more difficult to maintain and prone to failure (especially if things have to be piped in and out of the ring). As a result I think Moleyms and some Belyms might just forgo the whole thing if bone decalcification and planetbound habits aren’t in the way
