The thing that makes them work I think is that they all gel well together. They're debut-mates, bandmembers and seemingly pretty good friends. They're all fairly solid personalities and feel right together with how they'll play pranks and just have fun.
I think what anons mean by a VALZ type group is a musical group of pretty boys who mix well in games too, and aren't just 'hey these guys can sing so stick them together.'
