If I get a negative thought or negative feedback loop/depressive cycle I try to acknowledge and understand that I'm not thinking in a rational state and need to get out of it however, I still try to complete the thought I was having and follow it to it's conclusion. I feel like it helps me better understand myself and why/how I got in that state to begin with. It's kinda like when you talk to a friend when they are down in the dumps. listen to the thought without accepting it as rational or healthy. That is at least how I see it. Others probably think differently. I go nini now, goo nai pyon.
