It creates a lot of dubious lore (lore that will be potentially damaging to the future writing of people who are actually from that thread) and setting a president for it creates massive potential for power playing. This is an issue I feel will exist without the province system.
I agree that a potential middle ground could maybe be came up with? a lot of people have pointed out that countries on the map are actually really big, so maybe voluntarily shrinking some countries could be an idea?
I still earnestly believe that the province system is preferable to what we currently have. Neufags map is the opposite of future proof and constantly poses issues for new writers. If a new Hologen debuts I genuinely have no idea how we're going to find space for them.
