I once had my CC number stolen and used in a Walmart in Glendale (I live on the other side of the country). I called the police department there so they could get the camera footage of the guys using it and maybe arrest them, but they blew me off and said they basically don't give a fuck. I imagine most departments don't care unless someone's dead, and that's probably debatable as well.
