I think they'd probably have a social structure more similar to lions than cougars, since more social animals tend to be easier to tame. If they're big enough to be ridden, they might have trouble climbing smaller trees, but younger cougars should be able to. Cougars are actually very similar to lions, there's a reason they're called mountain lions sometimes. Do you think they should have a mane? Since it's Botan-inspired and she's kinda dommy, maybe the packs have a matriarchal hierarchy?
