You can set up simple action and assign a hotkey to it. Like as example on that screenshot you can see if I press Ctrl+* - it will make a clip (last 30 seconds by default). Or I can make a stream marker if I press Ctrl+/. It will look almost like a "youtube chapter" in your vod highlights viewer.
It is a powerhouse that allows way more than that. You can lookup guides on youtube to see what people make with it.
Another software you probably can do this in is called SAMMI but I haven't tried it myself.
