People run bots in hopes to make money from selling items, and the dev get's easy money since he get's a cut from each item sold. It's kinda just a get money quick scheme. Though unlike the other games in it's "genre" that just uses pngs, the Butt slapper dev has to model every butt, and rarely updates the game. So all the butts are cheap, and I doubt he's getting that much money.
