Ah, that's an interesting thought. Where does sand come from, and where does it go, if the wind always blows one way? The rivers flowing from the night-side ice cap would be a constant source of erosion IE fine sediment, which would eventually get blown off and... Accumulate at the pupil? Over long periods, would the soil of the pupil region grow in depth continuously because sand is constantly being pushed there by the wind?
