>>89401987it's probably my personal favorite game of all time. you don't have to follow the road, the game just encourages you to take the scripted path by placing difficult enemies on the alternate paths but there is nothing stopping you from just walking around those enemies straight to benny and fucking his brains out. there's plenty to explore too it's just a bit more spread out half because of truncated dev time and half because of a more naturalistic approach to map design vs bethesda's theme park approach. and that's just map locations, in terms of quests and sidequests and unmarked quests new vegas absolutely dwarfs 3 by a wide margin.
