>>4778904>My best bet on why she takes so long to take music is that she's not the best rapper. So actually writing out competent wordplay and rhymes takes a ton of time and effort for her since it's not as natural for her like a Jay-Z or EminemThis unironically.
My favorite fairly recent example of overthought overproduced hiphop lyrics VS someone with actual rap lyricism talent is the DJ Khaled ft. whothe fuck esle song called SORRY NOT SORRY compared to Levitate from twenty one pilots. I know they're dramatically different styles but the level of engagement and technical skill in the flow and rhyme structure in Levitate is so much better than that DJ Khaled track that it's kinda sad in a way. Seriously compare them, you can feel the difference in the lyrics and especially the complexity in the flow working off of sheer passion and technical skill. Mind you Levitate might be on of the most technically impressive rap pieces to be released in recent years, but there are a ton more examples if I go back a few more years. The difference is stark, give it a listen seriously.

Those are serious big level plugins that you can do incredible shit with. I'll admit I don't know cubase either but I'd be shocked if its spectral editor was on par with RX8, maybe in terms of basic selection and analysis tools but I can't imagine it can compete on a restoration level. Also there are plenty of things that are just more efficient to do in iZotope plugins like stereo separation in visual mixer and their absolutely fantastic vocal shaping tools in Neutron. I admit you don't need it for a lot of stuff like reverb and EQ corrections and choruses but it's certainly a lot faster than the workarounds for a ton of scenarios. Trash 2 alone is worth it on the basis of complete and utter annihilation level distortion effects that don't give me headaches. If mori has access to all those tools and it still takes her so long to compose a song that is undoubtedly at least 50% sample based I can't help but think it really is sheer incompetence.
