I'd much rather she sold merch than shilled products or affiliate links (which she will inevitably do because that's simply what it means to make a living as a content creator unfortunately). Merch, at the very least, is an extension of the show we turn up for -- a sponsor actively inserts themselves into the show and affects the show's content and values.
