if you play a video at 0.25x speed youtube counts it as watching the video for 4x as long, and if you have yt premium or whatever it's called if you download the video it'll count as having watched the entire thing again right after you download, and liking and commenting as always is good, I'm not sure how stream's are affected by people tuning out early because youtube treats them as a completely different thing but on regular videos viewer retention rate is highly valued which is one of the reasons shorts were/are the meta to get dead subs
