The expectation is that you will lose the part of your audience that oshi'd you for your original goals, which might have been a huge part of your audience or a small part, there's no way to tell until you put it out there.
It's a HUGE risk, and a heavy decision.
EN does that shit like it's Saturday, because there are no fan expectations other than "entertaining content" when it comes to EN chuubas.
And EN audiences will stick around as long as they find the chuuba entertaining.
