The inaccurate part is that his resistance group is non-violent cause we're mostly a bunch of noguns pussies (hence the name, Puccia).
Munitions have definitely been smuggled over the border: there have been accidents involving civilians blowing themselves up with RPG rockets they had in their cars' trunks.
On a perhaps unrelated note, a prominent Zigger propagandist recently got blown up by a bomb hidden inside of a bust statue of himself, which a "fan" gifted to him during a meet-and-greet.
Aesthetics-wise, obviously things look more modern and civilized IRL for now. But I'd still say the fictional country in the game has a better shot at a decent future, seeing how it didn't start an unjust and atrocity-filled war that it's losing.
