You simply make more money as an individual talent running this shit alone from your bedroom. Less overhead, more creative freedom, and once you've established an audience, you have just as much growth potential. Vtubing is in its corporate era, and on the japanese side of things, maybe they'll force it to stay that way somehow, but the path of least resistance will always be to cut out the middle man when everything is done DIY and remotely anyway.
