commercial/corporate commissions are mad bank
also, I'm not sure if it is still the case but she used to have a second, stable job that she referred to as priestess duties. I doubt there are many professional anime-based animation studios in BC so it's likely some kind of generic design/animation studio (for ads etc)

Of course, that's going to depend on the individual artists, but when you're making a hundred thousand a year in commercial works with big companies, you don't much care for a few thousand for a random one-off.

Obviously, it's going to depend on the artists themselves, but when you make hundreds of thousands a year in commercial works with big companies, you don't care about a couple thousand for a one off.
