>>66859041I had a list, but can't find the .txt right now, sorry. Going through the Rentry, though, here's a less complete version.
>Defunct:Tsunderia (CA)
Kawa (TX)
cyberlive (state unknown)
>Extant:PixelLink (CA, de facto current frontrunner)
Amber Glow (state unknown)
Lucid (CA)
Heavenrend (this is the one that's based in VA, my mistake)
As you can see, they tend to be based in California, where the most Asian-Americans and the most very-online people are likely to gather. (Technically Hawaii has a larger percentage Asian population, but come on now.) The coasts in general have plenty of prospective talent looking for their "big break" as a creative, but it's hard to imagine as many committed people coming out of the middle regions (MST/CST) outside of Chicago and maybe Denver. Of course, since it's all online location doesn't matter as much, so this is moreso talking about demographics and not individuals. One of the most prominent VTubers came out of backwoods Georgia, after all.
All this came from me being a big fan of Tsunderia, and wondering what it would take for an agency in the States to be competitive in the industry like pre-Myth Tsun was gearing up to be. At this point I have more questions than answers, but it's still fun to think about.
And of course, the snow-Mexicans at Phase have been going hard, so at least NA isn't completely irrelevant in the scene.
