Since lumi had the most votes but with the setup only 8% are needed for a spot to win, all her excess percentage was cut off and everyoonen that voted for Lumi then had their secondary votes picked and moved over to them.
to make this more clear what this means let me give an example with easier numbers:
if lumi had gotten 16% and only needed 8% to be the first winner. Then 8% would get cut off. then ALL votes for lumi would get their second choices used but, the excess 8% of the initial 16% are only half as impactful as the primary ones had been.
meaning if we had exactly 100 votes, then the primary votes for lumi each had been 1% but after lumi gets declared a winner and the excess moves over to ami for example, those votes would only have an impact of 0.5% left.
i hope this is kind of understandable.
with this excess from lumi, pretty much everyone profitted from it sicne it was so much but ami was the big time winner with this and got over 30% with this, making her the next in line to become a winner. (AmiLumi strong!)
