Like, the rift between indie funding and AAA funding is insane and outside of licensed games for pre-existing properties (anime fighting games, disney slop, etc.) mid-market games don't seem to exist anymore. I want publishers partnering with some Australian developer (who you have never heard of) to make a game that retails for $30 and has serviceable graphics, and fun but slightly clunky gameplay.
