I don't live near any canals or lakes so no idea how he get there and I didn't want to leave a baby turtle to die so I brought him home with me. Didn't know that softshells are just naturally aggressive until way later but I was already attached so I just went with it. He's only bitten me once when he was a baby. Now he's big enough to take a chunk out of my hand so a feed him with a grabber.
