Regardless of anything they do protect each other from harm. You want to see Mori pissed off? Hurt one of her friends, especially Kusotori.
I really liked in that Among the Myths story the angle of Mori becoming cold to Kiara
because Kiara lost memories over time and that was destroying Mori's heart. That part of the fic was handled well.
