Is it stressful to be a Starmin? During the last drama with the Holostars not having a live announced during the expo (I don’t remember the exact details) I saw a bunch of Starmins on Twitter griping about many many frustrations with management and disappointment at the frequent sidelining. I remember one girl even saying “we’re not just some mug collectors” lol. Not only that but I also saw a lot of the weirdos from the Hololive side taunting Stars fans, I can’t help but wonder how many potential Starmins got turned away from the fandom (and towards Niji or another corpo?) just to not deal with that toxicity.
As a side note I do have to also wonder if female fans are also turned off by the Hololive brand in general. Maybe not so much the girls themselves but parts of the fanbase and some of the content. The Holo girls probably dislike a lot of their toxic fans too but unlike Starmins, they are insulated from them due to management and sheer numbers. If fans don’t have that luxury then I understand them walking away because I kinda can’t stand some of the awful Holo fans either.
