You are driving the car, you are doing her a favor. In your head, you have this subconscious feeling of power over her. Without you, she is nothing. She is relying on you to get her to work.
This makes it easier for you to talk to her because you subconsciously think you have dominance over her. You feel that she is inferior to you.
But obviously, that is not the case. If you can apply this false feeling to everyone else, you can talk to anybody.
